Build a freelance business you love by building a plan that works for you
Success as a freelancer doesn’t happen by accident.
You need a plan that helps you build confidence, land clients, and create a sustainable business without getting stuck in fear or uncertainty.
There’s just one problem: there’s no one-size-fits-all roadmap to freelance success.
You have to build your own.
The Jump to Freelance group on Skool solves this. This community of creative freelancers surrounds practical education with community. You'll be equipped to take action, develop the right business foundations, and build the habits that turn freelancing into a long-term, thriving career.
Inside, you’ll:
- Learn what works for your stage of business (so you aren’t just guessing)
- Refine your pricing, client strategy, and marketing with support
- Get ongoing accountability to stay confident as you build
Freelancing is scary when you don’t have a plan. So let’s build yours together.
Why I created this group
When I started freelancing, I struggled with:
- Pricing my work confidently
- Promoting myself without feeling sleazy
- Tackling the business side of creative freelancing (contracts, taxes, and finances)
- Balancing client work, marketing, and life
For nearly 20 years, I let that list of fears keep me from making the jump to freelance. This list felt overwhelming in my head.
But when life pushed me into freelance, I had to deal with them.
I was blessed to find a mentor early on that helped me navigate that list of struggles and introduce me to a community of other business owners. It was community that changed everything for me.
The Jump to Freelance group exists to demystify the business side of creative freelancing so you can make the jump with confidence.
What's inside:
Freelancers need clarity, not overwhelm. That’s why each week focuses on one key topic at a time. The goal is to make it easy to apply what you learn in your business.
Upcoming topics:
- April 10 | Overcoming fear, imposter syndrome, and self-doubt
- April 17 | Learning to market yourself without feeling sleazy
- April 24 | Shifting from a hobbyist mindset to a business mindset
- May 1 | Finding your mission and aligning your work with purpose
- May 8 | Pricing yourself fairly—without undercharging or overthinking it
- May 15 | Landing early clients naturally (without cold calls or TikTok dances—unless you want to)

Is this a good fit for me?
This group isn’t for everyone.
If you’re content to dream about freelancing without taking action, this probably isn’t for you. At least not yet.
But if you’re ready to stop overthinking and start building, this program will help you find clarity, take action, and grow with confidence.
Whether your goal is to go full-time or build a profitable side hustle, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
One last thought
Making the jump to freelance is a big step, and it’s not for everyone.
But if it is for you, don’t make the mistake of thinking "freelance" means "alone."
The best way to succeed as a freelancer is in community.
I’d love to help you build the business you’ve been dreaming of.
